Fast Facts on the Importance of Experience Design

Experience design is the practice of designing products, processes, services, events and environments with a focus placed on the quality of the user experience and culturally relevant solutions. It draws from many other disciplines including psychology, architecture, communication and cognitive sciences.

When products are designed and services are set up, businesses need to focus more and more on the experience of the user. Culturally relevant solutions and quality of the experience is becoming more important, since technologies develop fast and products or services are getting more alike.

Brands offer a combination of products and services and translate these more and more into experiences. The more compelling the experience, the faster you will build brand loyalty. In fact, the experience you build becomes your brand in your customers’ minds.

A city however is much more complex and contains many conflicting areas like Infrastructure, Healthcare, Stability, Culture, Environment and Education. The better these can be combined, the better the liveability experience.
